To anyone who has purchased a hair replacement system or have had a contract renewal you know that the prices have gone up considerably in the last 8 months. There is historical information to show that this is not a new phenomenon.
Originally almost all hair replacement systems were only available to the wealthy in or within access to major metropolitan areas such as New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. The reason being, that’s where the wig makers were. Prior to the industrialization of hair replacements they were made by independent wig makers across the country and around the world. In the 1960’s the wig market began to grow with the increase in demand for ready made wigs. Those products were primarily coming out of Japan.
